Freestyle snowboarding can be safe if the certain rules are applied when training and practicing the discipline. Vital points are:
  1. ALWAYS wear body armour AND a helmet
  2. Always stretch and warm up well before training
  3. Always begin with SMALL and easy turns and tricks and gradually develop to more demanding and bigger tricks
  4. Whenever attempting something for the first time make sure that you have professional instruction
  5. Learn and respect "Park Etiquette" and the snowboarding code
